Dealing With A Flirtacious Boyfriend
Dear Shawn and Katia,
I have been dating a very attractive man for the past two months now and I am having difficulties dealing with the fact that women constantly are coming onto him when we are out on the town. While he usually ignores them, I find myself getting jealous if he flirts with other girls at a club or party. I am afraid to tell him my thoughts since I know his ex-girlfriend was very controlling, what do you think I should say?

Many people flirt because it is fun- it does not necessarily mean that they have interest in pursuing the person further. It sounds like your boyfriend attracts others and that is what type of person he is. If you want him to act differently when you go out, he may not be what you are looking for in a partner. You can be honest with your partner, and let him know why you are unhappy in the relationship, but don't place blame on him for flirting with other girls. He is just being himself and he probably doesn't realize that he's hurting you when he does it. If he really wants you in his life, then perhaps he will tone it down because he wants to not because he feels pressured to.
