I have been in a serious relationship with my girlfriend Jennifer for almost a year and we are considering moving in together. It makes sense financially and we think it will bring us closer together as a couple. I am used to living a bachelor's life however and I am concerned that I will not meet her cleanliness standards. Am I just being lazy or is this a valid concern?

Moving in with your girlfriend is a significant step in your life and change is healthy. If you and Jennifer have been dating for a year, then I'm sure she's seen where and how you live. And she still wants to move in with you. You need to be honest and talk to her about this if you don't want to change your 'relaxed' bachelor habits. Maybe she'll be okay with it. However, as I have already said, change is healthy. This is a new chapter in your life that you need to be proud of. She will be pleased if you put effort into keeping the new place orderly and clean. And you know what a happy girlfriend means... !
